OUR MISSION
It all started with 5 dogs
In the heart of every dog is a desire for a place to call home, a family to love, and endless fields for play. Just ask Murphy, Maddie, Cooper, Baxter, and Olivia, our very own rescue dogs. Each, their own tale of resilience, who have taught us how to speak canine, and to love them unconditionally.
“Part of living with five dogs requires you to be bilingual. We speak human English as well as canine. To speak canine, it’s an art of observation and patience. You slow yourself down enough to see subtle non-verbal cues and translate behavior into needs and desires. Admittedly, it’s a busy life and there’s relentlessly five toddlers running around, but we wouldn’t change any of it. The joy that comes from them each day is worth every poop pick up.”

At FiveDogsDown, we're inspired by the simple, heartwarming sight of a dog at rest—paws sprawled, belly up, completely at ease. This blissful 'down' moment captures the essence of what we strive for: a world where every dog experiences the joy of feeling safe, loved, and utterly content.
We recognize that behind every contented "down" moment for a dog, there's often a story of rescue, rehabilitation, and love—stories made possible by the dedicated shelters, rescues, and volunteers who devote their lives to this cause.
So we created FiveDogsDown to support shelters and rescues in their tireless effort to find loving homes for as many dogs as possible. Through the purchase of our apparel, the profit will go to an animal shelter or a dog rescue.
Our goal is to come together and show support for those around the US who work tirelessly to find happy homes for dogs and we hope that eventually, all dogs can feel that safe five dogs down feeling.
“As you share your life with dogs, you realize how they mastered the fine art of simplicity. The first lesson you learn is only love matters. Indeed... dog is love. They need very little in exchange for all those unconditional, slobbery kisses: healthy food, equal parts play and rest, repeat. When our kids are well-balanced, they drop to the floor, legs out to one side and they release that unapologetic, contented sigh. We quietly rejoice… “five dogs down.” It’s a moment of gratitude knowing we can provide a safe and whole-hearted life for our family.”
